Ten years after the new state was carved out of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh has come a long way in terms of development but the states visibilityneeds to be raised further. We started from scratch to establish Indias first and best planned green field city. Naya Raipur will definetily give the whole state an identity as a modern state besides serving as an engine of growth. Naya Raipur is being developed as a modern and livable city. It has to be economically, socially and environmentally sustainable.

Naya Raipur, with a proposed road length of 225 km, will be the first green field city in India to have dediceted Bus lanes. By the time project is ready by 2031, it would have cost an estimated Rs 50000 crore. Of this the state government will spend about Rs 8000-10000 crore. NDRA got an initial grant of Rs 6.5 billion from the state government and Rs 2 billion from the centre under the Twelth finance commission subsequently. The world bank has sanctioned a loan of Rs 66 crore for the BRTS project while HUDCO has offered a loan of Rs 550 crore for land acuisition and infrastrucure development.
